The character of Lena was my best character. Her eagerness to correct a past mistake intrigued me.

Two characters really stuck to me in this book and they are Kalayla and Lena. For Kalayla, I admired her boldness and how she feels she can take care of herself. For Lena, I love how she showed affection for both Kalayla and her mother.

Kalayla. She was so mature for her age, though her know-it-all attitude could be too much sometimes. I also liked Maureen because it takes courage to go against all you've been taught because you know it's false.

My favorite character was Lena; I admired her strength

My favorite character is Kalayla. She’s funny and intelligent.

It's obviously Kalayla she reminded me of my childhood I was a very stubborn child. I love her bravery and the kind of questions she asked in the book.

My favourite character is Kaylayla. She exhibited so much maturity at some point in the book.

My favorite would have to be Kalayla because she went through so much at such an early age. And, I so enjoyed my daughters and their friends during their teens. Even the ones thst have had hardships just seem to have a life force about them that just makes you feel more alive when around them.

It has to be Kalayla for me. She was feisty and wise beyond her years. She's the perfect mix of sweet and sassy.
