Do you think free will man-made relations are stronger than blood relations??

While blood family is a very strong bond, especially because it feels irreplaceable, I feel like family can be built out of the most random group of people. Every relationship is different and unique and I do not think one is stronger than the other.

It's a big YES for me.
I'll cite a simple example.
Separate twins at birth at 10years of age, and raise them among different people bring them back at age 20 and watch them address each other with the formality of strangers.
People like to base relationships on blood, forgetting that's it's the time, energy and effort put in to know someone and be with them that makes a bond strong.

It depends. For instance, blood ties with enough bonding time and free will friendship with enough bonding time can't be compared because the blood will always be strong. It all depends on the love, and time they share.

I think people tend to nurture non blood relationships more than blood relationships. That's not to say the former lasts longer than the latter, rather, it's just the way people have come to be. Blood relationships are not treated as worth putting an effort in and that's why people become estranged

I wouldn't really say they are stronger than relationship formed by blood, but in some circumstances, they tend to be very strong as that formed by blood.

I think this is something that cannot be generalized. Blood relationships should be the strongest, but this is not always the case. Free-will man-made relationships don't always work as well, but at least you'll have a choice. I think it's a matter of destiny after all.

I do believe so. Sometimes, people aren't lucky enough to get blood relatives who can understand them as well as those they choose to befriend. Humans tend to attract and get attracted to those with whom they vibe on a certain level.

They definitely can be! It depends on the circumstances and the efforts put into the relationship. The fact that they are free will, proves that the parties involved chose to be in each other's lives, while blood relations can sometimes be forced.

Blood ties isn't necessary for a long-term relationship. What more important for me is the bonding rather than the difference. This is evident in this story. The bonding between these women was the example. They were of different age and different characters yet they are compatible with each other.

I actually do. And I have thought about this severally. I believe it is so because when you form a "man-made" relationship, it is very intentional. If you don't form an intentional relationship with family, your bond won't be strong enough.

I very much agree with it. It is said that blood is thicker than water. However, there's no much bond between blood related family these days
Most of them don't even know each other. So, I think that it's better to choose your relationship and form them. Most times they are healthier than the imposed blood relationship.

Blood is a special bond that one can't just break with mere words as one would end a friendship or relationship. But humans are humans, a wicked person wouldn't automatically be good because you're his blood, neither would a proud person be humble just because he's related to you by blood.
