There were a lot of social issues such as racism, domestic abuse, parental negligence, homophobia, sexual assault to name a few. I really like how the author was able to weave all these into such a good story.viviannganyi wrote: ↑03 Sep 2020, 04:21 What are the current social issues explored by the Jeannie Nicholas?

Add to that one-parent households where the kids practically have to raise themselves and then get dragged into the wrong friend groups because of lack of love/attention.AntonelaMaria wrote: ↑04 Sep 2020, 12:32 Race, sexuallity, gender equality, interacial marriage, domestic violence are the issues that stood out to me.
