Yes, I believe free will friendships are better than blood-related relationships because same time stuff that implicates families in are crises they always try to make determinations for you. And we can see with Kalayla, Maureen, and Lena their connection traveled long periods of their lifetimes.

I have been questioning myself whether I should really believe this from time to time. But the need for me to believe is getting more and more obvious.

This is the fact that 'man-made relation could be stronger than even family.' But we are often limited in enjoying the postible opportunity in this reality when we keep saying “they are my blood”.

It's true that man-made relation is needed in our lives. This is in the quest to find happiness which is the essence of living.

Yes, the relationship between Kalayla, Lena and Maureen flourished, but I think even the ending of the book confirms that no matter what, blood will forgive blood just like how Maureen reunited with her family.

Free will man-made relationships flourish depending on the people involved. I, however, think that sometimes blood relations overpower free will relations since blood-related relatives sometimes feel obliged to help one another if they believe in morals.

I also think every relationship is unique, also you can't know how strong of a bond it is unless it is tested. Blood bonds are sacred but some of them can fail the test of time, while nurtured relations may seem frivolous but some withstand the test of time. the strength of a bond depends on the love and devotion you put into it.

Some man-made relationships are and can be stronger than blood relations because of the struggles that people tend to go through together.

As in this book, a person's experiences and how they connect with people in order to develop such relationships differ depending on their relationship with their family. Some occasions bring us together. I feel they have the ability to be more powerful at times. Human relationships can sometimes be significantly more successful than biological ones.
Books are a unique form of accessible magic. Reading is required for those who wish to rise above the mundane. If you dislike reading, it's most likely because you haven't found the right book.

At some point, relationships of blood need to evolve. If there's no respect and love, relationships die as a consequence, blood related or not. True family is the people who respect and love you and are there for you.

Yes. Freewill relations are based on a conscious decision to commit. It is not forced and there is always a real bond involved.

Being humans I think sometimes people are more intentional about blood relations. To me it depends on the encounter you have with the person in question. They are friends or people who we meet and we bond with them like blood relations.

I do not think either type of relationship is stronger. In my opinion, it depends on how much effort your willing to put into keeping a good, healthy relationship with someone, regardless of blood ties.

I believe relationships are as strong as the work that is put into them. I have some stronger relationships with friends than with family.

I believe that the term "family" can be used whenever YOU want to, and is not only a term describing blood-related people. The three characters in kalayla, slowly build up such a strong relationship with each other, and I would in the end call them family, even though Lena isn't blood-related with the two others. I also think they see each other as a family after everything they have gone through!

Yeah absolutely. It could be seen how it was difficult for Maureen to do away with Jamal's death. But for a man-made relationship, it is very easy to get away with it.

Yes, blood you have to accept if you like it or not it is family. People you choose come into your life by your own choice to accept them.
