Lena's twin boys were a headache for sure. They always caused trouble and came up with absurd rules. But I liked how they covered each other and how close they were. I loved their bond. If I had twins, I would definitely want them to be as close as possible. It was unfortunate that they died together, but I am glad they did. They would have been miserable without each other.

Twins always have this deep connection for each other that is different from the love they have for the rest of their families. I have had close friends who are twins and I know they can do just anything for each other, even when it is about punishment. The way the twins in the book was portrayed doesn't seem unrealistic, it shows the bond they had for each other especially with being the same gender.

Personally, I'm a great lover of twins, especially same gender and look alikes. I specifically loved the way the writer portrayed the twin to be, that special bond between them how they didn't compete with each other. It was always the two of them against the world.

Me I liked how the author described the relationship between those twins especially the way they were close but what got me was "The punishment sharing policy " where one can be taking a punishment of the other and their mother was not ok with their policy that made her punishing them together for something that one of them had done.
It shows me how the love between twins is very deep that no one can't separate their feelings.
I have no idea what it means or feels like to be a twin, but I always look at twins with longing. From what I've seen in either movies or books (unfortunately I don't personally know any set of twins I can confirm from), but they always seem to have such an innate connection that no third party can ever understand, and I think those are the attributes that Lena's boys were showing.

I liked the twins a lot. I loved the part where the author mentioned the twin's "Punishment sharing Policy". That was quite hilarious and adorable as well.

I recently read a news article about how NASA was conducting experiments on twin astronauts. Having read this book recently, this article reminded me of Lena's twins for some reason. Their willingness to share each other's punishments even was really heartwarming to read about!

I think the twins acted as caregivers for one another because their strong connection makes them define themselves as a unit. I liked their attachment to each other and the need to protect themselves.

I don't really understand the love between twins since I've not experienced it. I would say they share a bond like any other but are a bit stronger. Jeannie Nicholas talked about it when talking about Lena's twins. I, however, say they deserve individual punishment.

I still wonder how they both died in Vietnam at once. They had a really strong bond and their own language! They made their own assessments and decisions on situations. Very interesting. Their deaths is what really destroyed Lena and made her wear black. Not Joey's or any other tragedy in her life.

It sounds so weird that a mother cannot differentiate her twin boys. Nevertheless, the author did a good job describing the relationship between the twins. I really don't the like the idea of punishing them together.

I liked how they both had each other's backs no matter the situation. They supported and cared about each other. It is such a beautiful bond to witness.

I myself am a twin, and the relationship I have with my twin is so different compared to how the author portrayed the twins in the novel. I believe that Lena and the dad treated the twins wrong, and they should not have been seen as "one person", but this just shows how wrongly twins can be looked at.

I love the bond Twins shared. I think the shared punishment was okay so that each could out for each other. Also, it made the love more deep.

Twins share a special bond to begin with. I do think this bond was stronger because of the conditions they were raised in.
