Men like Joey will always be with society, as long as we live. As long as there is good and bad in the world.

Definitely, people like Joey still exist in this world. The problem with situations like that is that most women is such horrible relationships do not feel safe enough to speak out. Its tragic.

Well, I've heard of people like Joey. They still exist but it's my utmost desire that I don't encounter men like that. If Lena had a voice of her own, it would have been better. But the fact that she didn't even have a voice of her own made things worse.

Men like Joey still exist in this day, they are excess. Men still abuse their wives sexually. Though, many women are outspoken now, the level of sexual harrasment has reduced a bit.

Yes. I say that things like that still happens today. The horrific thing is that it happens to people way younger than Lena's age then. Men like Joey still exist.

Men like that are still very much out there. This is why we cannot over emphasize the need for women to speak up.

Yes, they still exist. It is up to the women to avoid those type of men.

It's so sad but I think "Joeys'' exist, some worse than him. Women have been speaking out for the longest time, the world is only listening now. I would like to point out that the ones who put a stop to the abuse were his sons that he wanted to be like him. Ironic isn't?

I believe people like Joey exists, but today, most women are comfortable speaking out about their abusive husbands. In this modern days a lot of men now value their wife.

Yeah women today are wise to shun such attitude and am glad. But let's face the fact that I happens mostly in the urbanised areas. In the rural areas we still experience high level of abuse of women.

I recently watched a Criminal Minds episode that tackled something similar to this issue. You would be surprised how powerful Stockholm Syndrome is and just how easy it would be to manipulate a person into staying with you.
