Many characters got redemption. Lena, Maureen's parents, even Kalayla herself.

I think redemption is not easy to find. The characters may find some peace in accomplishing something, like Lena. But she may never feel too satisfied with what she did for her children.

Yes, I think the characters got their redemption. Lena proved at last that she was not a failed mother. She established an amazing relationship with Kalayla and her mum.

Yes, everyone got redemption. Lena was able to finally let go of the guilt about the truth of her husband's death and reunite with her 2 living children. Maureen got redemption after telling Kalayla the truth about her family.

yes, I definitely think so! In the end, she faced her dark past and finally met her sons again. I believe that this was a big win for her, and I think she needed to find and form a relationship with kalayla and Maureen in order for this to happen. I would actually say that they all got their redemption and not only Lena!

That was the sole purpose of the book. Everyone got it, especially Lena who had a rough experience with her family.

I think the book had a wonderful ending with everyone getting a second chance to redeem themselves and live happy lives. Even Maureen’s mother was on the path of redemption.

I agree that Lena got her redemption. That she could wear another color other than black is proof.

I think Lena saw herself a lot in Maureen, and because of this, she was able to confront some old demons that haunted her. I loved how she reunited with all of her children, finally gave love a chance, and stopped wearing black all the time!

Lena got her redemption in the end. She met her son and opened up about the circumstances surrounding Joey's death.
