Which character perspective was your favourite and why?

Galen's chapters are by far my favorite. He comes out as very appreciative of the second chance he has been given to live a meaningful life and also very appreciative of the new people in his life.

Galen's perspective was my favorite. Just like us readers, he knew almost nothing about Voulhire when he arrived. It was a learning process for him, and I enjoyed learning new things along with him. It made me feel more connected with Galen and the world created by Tysz.

I loved Lord Eldus. His untimely death actually broke my heart

He was the very epitome of what every person should aspire to be, and the way he cared for the welfare of his town folk was admirable.

I also liked Eldus and thought his death was untimely. I expected a whole lot from him. But maybe Marshus will continue from where Eldus left off.

My favorite character perspective is Meldorath's because he is known as the villian. I want to know more about him. I always like to hear the stories of how they became known as the evil villians. I can understand wanting more power magically.

I definitely looked forward the most to reading more on Lord Eldus's story. He was pure of heart and only had the best intentions for Hillport. His honesty and integrity, along with his good nature and sense of humour, made his perspective my favourite.

It is hard to pick only ONE favorite character. Some characters with small parts were easily likable, like Eldus son Marshus. I would pick Eldus as my favorite because of the good he wanted to bring to a part of Voulhire that really needed it. I really liked the parts of his chapters when he talked about helping the children.

Rowan got me intrigued, he has more to him than meets the eye, and I like his sense of humor and wit. And when you get down to it, it seems like he has the most "human" personality of all the characters.

Definitely, Lord Eldus's perspective was the one that had the most build-up, I agree. But I also enjoy the little bits of Meldorath, I felt like there was so much more to it.

Personally, I rather liked Lord Eldus' perspective in the book. He seemed to have honest motives in improving the town of Hillport and he even went out of his way to talk to the children who could have possibly been Orlin's victims. It's a shame with what happened to him at the end since I got a bit attached to his character, which is why I felt a little disappointed. However, I also liked Galen's perspective. It felt like I was exploring the new world and the new town along with him.

Galen's perspective is my favorite. Apart from the fact that I got to see Voulhire throw the innocent eyes of this young man, I really enjoyed reading Rowan's statements and hilarious replies to questions asked.

Lord Eldus's POV had to be my favorite. He was put into a position of power in a place with a not-so-nice history of its past lords. I loved that he tried his hardest to make up for his predecessors' mistakes. His untimely demise actually took me by surprise, but for what it was worth, I think he did a good job with the little time that he had as lord.
