What was your favorite scene from the book?

Post by Justjaal_ »

I can say that I loved every scene in which Galen appeared (I loved him), but my favorite one was definitely the one where Galen and Rowan met Demetrius. It was rivalry at first sight between Rowan and Demetrius and I loved the imbuer's sarcasm.

But I really liked that even with his great job and unique personality, he decided to go to Magnum Caleum with Galen, saying that everybody feels an urge to protect him :D.

What do you think? What was your favorite moment in the book?

I loved Beth's travel through the worlds of Caromentis. The description was so impressive :)

But I loved Galen's and Rowan's first meeting with Demetrius very much too! Demetrius is my favorite character and he only gets better :)

I also loved every scene that Galen was in. In addition to that, I loved the scenes where Galen, Rowan and Demetrius appeared together. These scenes seemed to have so much tension and sarcasm.

I found myself laughing throughout the scene where Galen and Rowan bribed the miner to give them information. :lol2: Galen was way too generous and Rowan kept getting annoyed with his friend's naivety.

When Galen first arrived in Magnum Caelum and he was describing the town with its cobblestone streets – it was reminiscent of somewhere I've been to once and definitely made me rather nostalgic! I'm not sure if it's my absolute favourite scene but it's definitely one that really stood out to me (and still does!)

I really enjoyed the scene where Beth meets Meldorath. It shows us Meldorath's perspective that the king betrayed him and shows him being kind to Beth.

My favourite chapters revolved around Lord Eldus, and I loved his perspective in general, but him reading the previous Lord's diary made an impact on me. It was dark and ominous, a great way to get the reader to fear for the future of everyone living in the castle. There was just something about the way Eldus tried to dismiss his suspicions but wasn't able to understand why he felt uncomfortable. It that made me relate to him and understand him as a character, but it also built suspense for the big finale.

I really like Demetrius too, although I was a little bit disappointed by him in the second book. But besides that, I enjoy every time I read about him because he is so smart and sarcastic.

I really enjoyed Galen knocking on the tavern door. Sometimes it's the little things that make me laugh the most. Sorry, Galen, you're just too polite.

My favorite scene was also when Galen was first introduced in the book, have liked him just from the beginning.

I looked forward to the scenes where Galen, Rowan, and Demetrius appeared. The tension and mistrust between Rowan and Demetrius in addition to their sarcasm was fun to read.

My favorite scene was definitely when Marshus told the story of Meldorath to his sister Isla. It was so innocent and cute. Seeing the two siblings together simply being siblings was so special.

I am more of an action kind of girl, so I preferred the last scene of the book. the invasion of the Riva in Hillport. I believe it was wonderfully executed, detailed, and just what we needed to get engrossed in the story.

I loved the scene in the ship Galen boarded to Voulhire. The old man telling tales about Voulhire held his audience spell bound. He got me too.

I agree. The quiet battle between Rowan and Demetrius made Galen's chapters more interesting. I hope that their relationship is fleshed out further in the rest of the series. Rowan's brashness mixed with Demetrius's sarcasm was a great combo.
