Which is your favourite quote from this book?
"Death lurks at every doorway in the Lands of the Princes. After a while, you learn to defy its influences."
This quote refers to Lands of Princes but somehow I felt it touching my heart. It felt about the retelling of this world in bare form and metaphorical representation.

"And just as a superior nation can spill into an inferior nation for whatever reason it may, so too can one world invade the other. Magic itself, after all, is nothing if not an invasion of that universe into ours..." Lord Dalehei Meldorath.

This is something Beth says and I thought it was a beautiful way of describing the world.

“For underneath this dark and quiet city was a man who liked to dance, and an army that stepped to his beat.”
— We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz
This sentence stood out to me because of the beautiful imagery.
It also has creative word play with the dancing being synonymous with an armies beat. In the way that armies march or how they follow orders.

It feels very deep.

A great chapter ending, and a great way to end off an introduction to a character that had been built up through the story previously (that being, Meldorath).
