I just started this book, I'm not very far in yet, but I have two great quotes to share. They are both from the portion of the book where Galen is traveling to Voulhire and speaking with the old man.

(When Galen tells the old man he is traveling to Magnum Caelum, a place the man has never heard of) "“But I knew you first, didn't I?”
“I... I guess so—”
“That means you're more important! Doesn’t it?'" (page 14)
This one just translates to me as 'the person is more important than the destination.'

and

"May you uncover every detail. But don't forget..." he held a finger to my face, "you are the author of your own story!" (Also page 14 for anyone interested in finding it)

Hope y'all like them! Enjoy reading the story!

"The world was more beautiful when I was a child."
This is said by the King of Voulhire near the end of A New Arrival Under Great Skies, when the book is reaching its climax. This quote is something I can absolutely relate to, as I think this same thought daily. Especially with the way current events are going these days.
"The things in life worth living cannot be thought [with the mind]; they must be felt [with the heart]."

My favourite quote from the book is "Death lurks at every doorway in the Lands of Princes" means in simple words that " Death hides at each entryway in the Lands of Princes. Sooner or later, you figure out how to challenge it's persuasions.

When the old man on the ship was talking to Galen: "I sense great depth in your story"; "you are the author of your own story!"

I liked when Beth said, "Here, there are walls to hold on to when your own walls are spinning." It was a masterful phrase that really showed what Beth was thinking. The reader could easily have imagined Beth's transition as one from freedom to one bound by walls, but this phrase shows that it was a transition from being ungrounded to a world of steadiness with solid objects to hold you up.
