Murder mystery thrillers with thickening plots and chilling twists usually make for exhilarating reads. Pearl River Mansion sounds like it promises to be just that kind of novel. Despite the length and stomach-churning, violent death scenes, I am pretty tempted to add this one to my shelves. Thanks for the great review!

The author has done well to create interest in the characters from the very beginning of this book. Once engaged, you probably do not even realize that it is five hundred pages long. Great review.

Wow. This is definitely my thing. It also seems like the author did a thorough work on the characters: taking their time on introducing them, getting in the depths of their personalities, and their dynamics with each other. The plot is interesting, too. Looks like it's worthy of being the 2020 Book of the Year.

Who must have kidnapped Rachel, and why do both families desire to raise her instead of Cody? This book seems like an engaging one, I can't wait to read them.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting thriller-mystery following a father and widower whose daughter, whom both his father and deceased wife's family want to raise as their own, goes missing. Two detectives are assigned to the case. Will they find her? It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Family secrets, a missing girl, and a relentless investigation. Where could Rachael be and what is her family hiding? An intriguing storyline and some strong, well-developed characters make this book sounds like a great read!

This book sounds intense. I'm very interested and will keep it in mind for a beach read. I like your review. Especially since you brought up the importance of the minor characters and how the author kept it together.

Firstly, excellent review! Now, I'm not much on mysteries, and I really don't think I could stomach reading an entire book with Tyler and Joan as two of the main characters. Let's just say my opinion is that both of them are 'lower than a snake's belly.' I think Sarah's kin would agree. Kudo's to the author for creating what seems to be an engrossing tale, but I'll be skipping this one.

Thanks for the great review. From reading the sample, there were parts that Ireally liked and parts that I didn't like because of the behaviors of the characters. Does make me wonder what all secrets there are and whose secrets they are.
