Author:Dan Brown
Series:Robert Langdon
And yet again Dan Brown amazes you with his surreal way of writing. The moment you start understanding one thing there's another twist thrown your way. Keeps you on the edge of your seat right from chapter. Hard to put down once picked.

Angels in demons is an intriguing novel that leaves readers glued to their seats. It is about courage determination in betrayal, it is about Man versus divine.Robert Langdon is Dan Brown's main character in all novels, he is a Harvard symbologist.
After all his years of studying Robert writes about the secret art of the Illuminati brotherhood on his website. One morning, Langdon receives a phone call from the director of Switzerland council European pour la Recherche Nucleeaire(CERN),Mr Kohler; saying one of his greatest scientists has been ruthlessly murdered and has been branded on his chest the word Illuminati. Hence Langdon is hired to investigate the murder of Mr Vetra with the help of Mr Vetra's adopted daughter Vittoria. After further investigations Langdon and Vittoria figure out the reason as to why Mr vectra was brutally murdered his because he inverted antimatter. Antimatter can either be used serve the world or to create the most deadly weapon ever made. If antimatter is reacted with matter, the anhillation would be very explosive and destroy a large area of land. Antimatter in the wrong hands is very dangerous.
After Vittoria and Langdon find out that the antimeter has been stolen for Mr Vetra's secret lab they fly to Rome to try and locate it. But this is not as easy as it seems because a guy claiming to be a messenger of the Illuminati brotherhood claims to have buried it under one of Rome's most respected cities; Vetican city (the city of God)
In Rome the Pope has just passed on and elections are taking place in Vatican City to elect a new pope. According to the Roman customs four candidates are chosen, these were referred to as 'preferitis' and one of them would certainly become the Pope. All four preferiti cardinals are kidnapped by the Illuminati brotherhood and threatened to be murdered each one in different churches of the Roman Catholic, living each one with a branded symbol of the four elements of science (fire, water, earth and water).
Langdon and Victoria try to stop the hassassin from succeeding in murdering the preferiti Cardinals but all attempts fail. The acting Pope (Carmelengo), Carlos does not know what to do other than pray. Somehow the media always seems to get involved and always arrives on time to take pictures of the murdered Cardinals, after all attempts to catch the hassassin and locate the antimatter fail, the Carmelengo decides to let the world know what is happening through the media, there is panic or around the world.
In the strive to defeat the hassassin Vittoria gets kidnapped, Langdon manages to locate the hassassin and the church of illumination, Langdon together with Vittoria finally manage to defeat the hassassin. The Camerlengo does something shocking and frames Mr Kohler, the world is brought to it's knees in praise and worship. Thanks to Mr Langdon who shows all the Cardinals in Vetican City that what you see is not always the truth, the Carmelengo's deeds are exposed. But seeing how much faith the Carmelengo has brought to the world by locating the antimatter and pretending to have saved the world, everyone decides to keep the truth hidden from the world. In order to strengthen the world's Faith, the Carmelengo commits suicide as an act of ultimate sacrifice. A new pope is finally elected, Langdon and Vittoria make love for the first time,it is a perfect moment of glorious rapture.
All in all, I fell in love with the drastic twist of events and how unexpectedly everything seemed to change. Furthermore, I fell in love with how purely Vittoria and Langdon loved each other. Apart from that, I also love something Victoria said,"sometimes divine revelation simply means adjusting your brain to
hear what your heart already knows, each of us is a God, each one knows all,we need only open our minds to hear our own wisdom".
