Have you ever sat down to reflect on what drives a rapist to commit such atrocity? How does such a person continue living life, knowing that they are responsible for another person's trauma? Dilemma, written by Buz Williams, provides a deep inspection of these people's lives. It contains the themes of hate, passion, and justice.

Ed narrates his experience as a cop and gives his experience concerning a case that causes a dilemma. After being a cop for thirty years, he learned and saw many things. On the other hand, The Skulker had been arrested seven times, and each arrest was full of a different offense. The Skulker resolved to inflict pain on women due to his experience. With all these going on, can you imagine what happens next to his victims? What role does Ed play in all of these? Read this book to find out the outcome of this suspenseful novel.

The author weaves an intriguing plot full of suspense and thrill. Right from the beginning, I was captivated by the author's writing style. The use of the first-person narrative made me engrossed with what was happening. Williams truly depicts the effect of a traumatic childhood and how it shapes a person's mind. This often turns an innocent child into a criminal.

One thing that caught my attention while reading was the level of reality in the book. Every word portrayed the author's effort in making this a remarkable book. I was able to feel the emotion of the characters through the words. For instance, whenever The Skulker invaded the victim's home, I could feel the fear that enveloped their hearts. This shows the author's expertise in using words to evoke intended feelings. My favorite aspect of the book was when Barney farted before he hopped off the elevator, leaving the two ladies to think Dan and Ed were the culprits. I was full of laughter while reading that aspect of the book.

Although I understand and appreciate the author's use of the first-person narrative technique, I dislike that the author didn't emphasize some details, especially the names of some characters. While reading the book, I found a few grammatical errors, but they did not strip me of the book's excitement. I am rating the book 3 out of 4 stars for the stated reasons.

I recommend this book to lovers of suspense and thrillers, as they will find the book intriguing. The book contains elements of surprise that are sure to captivate the reader's interest.

I’m very sorry to hear of the childhood problems that The Skulker had. When will parents realize that their actions towards their children often have a devastating effect? That being said, this does not excuse The Skulker’s actions against women.

You've got me wondering who was having or experiencing the dilemma and what that was all about? It seems like the author is saying the rapist's bad childhood is the cause for his heinous acts as an adult, but I don't subscribe to that philosophy. Many people have very difficult childhoods, and they don't become rapists.

I've read a lot of books about people who become chronic serial killers and rapists due to their bad childhood experiences. As much as I wish that their childhoods were better, those aren't excuses to unleash brutality and wickedness on people.

I clicked on this because of the book title. Your review made me want to read the book. I have always wondered what mindset these rapists have to inflict such pain on a fellow human. I believe a person has the choice to live a good and just life, regardless of what happened to them while growing up.
Thank you for your detailed review.

I personally believe parents play a huge role on the decisions their child will make in the future. Having a bad childhood can inflict the trauma to cause harm to others such as the Skulker did. I would definitely like to know what happened to him. Thanks for the review.
