Review of Hank Boucher: Honduran Mission
In Hank Boucher: Honduran Mission by Jerry A. Greenberg, Hank had just returned from a mission assigned to him as a CIA operative in Stockholm back to the United States. Spontaneously, he had returned to Newport News, Virginia, with a damsel he rescued while on his mission. Hank plans to settle in the States with his newfound love, but things change when he is assigned to a new mission in Honduras. Until now, Hank only had himself to consider when putting his life on the line. But now, he had the responsibility of staying safe, as he now had a companion whose emotions he would have to consider. Hank discovered that his new mission came with high risk and several enemies. As the mission secrets are revealed, Hank discovers he will be dealing with a dangerous drug lord in a tropical jungle. But this time, he has to deal with caution since he has taken up the responsibility of being committed to Emmelie. Find out how Hank fares on this daring mission.
The story in Hank Boucher: Honduran Mission was very adventurous. The author created a heartwarming and exciting story that was not difficult to read. The characters were fun to read. Hank would have readers captivated by his energetic actions and subtle demeanor. His cooperator, Cleto, would have readers thrilled with his intelligence and unwavering support. Cleto was always the brain to fill the missing link, like when he suggested they disarm all of Meija's electrical power sources before charging into the danger zone, which no one had thought about. Adele, as a survivalist, would enamor readers with her tough and instinctual actions. I was intrigued by the narrative.
The book was written with a lot of suspense and excitement. From the start, the introduction of the new couple, and the doubts they battled within their minds about what life in Newport News held in store for them, aroused curiosity in me. Everything about the jungle seemed to spark anxiety and curiosity. In the jungle, “you not only have the human enemy, but also animal predators." Every hint and detail in this aspect heightened the anticipation and excitement.
In addition, the blissful love story added in the book further enhanced the thrill. The community and individuals in the story gave it a beautiful setting. There were friends, foes, and allies, each fueled differently by love, hate, or greed.
In all, everything was just right from start to finish. Hank Boucher: Honduran Mission was written to give readers absolute thrill and action. Therefore, I rate this book four out of four stars. There was nothing off-putting about this book. If you enjoy adventurous or thrilling genres, you'd like this one. The book was well edited since I found a few errors.
