I am John Sullivan by Jonathan L. Parks

I just finished the book I am John Sullivan and all I can really say is... Wow. It is like a mixture of American Psycho, Post Office, Hannibal Lector... and something else. It made me feel weird after reading it, but in a good way. It is dark and psychological, but it also has moments that are hilarious and triumphant. I can't stop thinking about.

I hope I don't give any spoilers. I'll just discuss what is in the book description and the free chapter on amazon.

John Sullivan is a mechanic with a personality disorder. He abducts people he sees as evil and mutilates them in his basement. His psychology and the way he views the world is so unique and refreshing in the "psycho" world. There are parts in the book where I was literally laughing out loud, and other times I didn't want to turn the lights off at night. Though he is a killer you can't help but be attracted to his style. I really want to talk about this book with someone else (other than my wife)... I hope she doesn't see this!

Has anyone else read it? I don't think it is very popular. My wife found it in the Kindle store and we both read it this week. Its not overly long, but the substance is awesome. I tried to find other works from the author, Jonathan L. Parks but nothing came up. Has anyone heard of him?
