I couldn't believe Jess changed for the better while Melody the opposite. In my opinion, Gilly's diary was, at the same time, an important clue to the mysteries in the story and a curse to Gilly's present self. Before she would be able to free herself from his dark past, she must persist on solving her own past. Nice review and congrats to the author for BOTD!

From the summary, I can recall several books about crimes involving children of the past. This story shows that not all secrets can be kept hidden and safe for a long time, and someone needs to pay the price of the crime. "Forgive and forget" isn't always the case. Congratulations on the BOTD.

Whose baby is it and what made Gilly and her friend bury a baby? The review alone contains heightened suspense. I am looking forward to reading this book. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.

The plot is so weird and disturbing; however, I admit that it is intriguing. I have been left with many questions; it's understandable that Gilly feels so much remorse and guilt. I would love to read this story. Thanks for the review.

This sounds like a really interesting book. I love 'return to hometown' novels, and you have hinted at some absolutely wonderful characters to learn more about, Jess and Melody in particular. Adding it to my 'to read' list now.

This book tells a tale where the ghosts of her past haunt the disturbed protagonist. This crime thriller seems right up my alley. Thanks for the awesome review!

The fact that this book is well-edited makes it attractive to me, as I shall be able to enjoy the storyline without being detracted. Thanks for your thorough review.

I enjoy mystery and thriller novels but since it involves horror storylines, I will give this book a pass. Congrats on the BOTD.

Some of our actions never stop haunting us as in the case of Gilly. Today's book of the day is set in Bryon, Indiana and about some crimes committed over twenty-six years. I can't wait to read this book. Congrats on #BOTD!

The narrator, Gilly, evokes a strong sense of remorse and terror as she narrates her past actions, which still haunt her more than twenty-six years later. The theme of hate and crime dominates the novel, and the author skillfully uses a diary to transport readers into Gilly's past. The "hidey hole" becomes a potent symbol of murder and death, and the book is replete with crime scenes, from vandalism to murder. The author also highlights the idea that people's present attributes and character may not accurately reflect their true selves. The book creates a suspenseful atmosphere, and the reader is left in a state of tension due to the heightened investigations and suspicions that follow Gilly's return to her hometown.

Congratulations on BOTD. Seems like a horror story with lots of hate involved. I do not really enjoy horror genre even in films. But i think this would be a good book especially this summer season. Thanks for the review.

This seems like an intriguing thriller with a lot of suspense. Often as children, we do things not thinking about their consequences which keep haunting us for a long time. I would want to find out how things turn out for Gilly.
