Bag of Bones by Stephen King
::spoiler::
The main character is a author who becomes victim of writers block when his wife passes away. He moves to their cabin in a really small community with just a few neighbors where he befriends a local widower with a young daughter. Upon their meeting a budding romance is sparked, the child becomes attached to the main character and so does the widower. However there are forces at work which are trying desperately to keep them apart. Winds howling and dreamscapes into the past make this novel truly astonishing.

With that being said , that was basically my only qualm with Bag of Bones. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and definitely recommend for those who like a little romance mixed in with their thriller/horror/suspense novels.
