A dark horror story with a compelling hero. The story follows Lily Henshaw, who survives a tragedy that leaves her with physical and psychological scars. She deals with survivor’s guilt and tries to make sense of the madness around her. The narrative is unsettling and original, with a side of romance.

I just finished reading this book last night and the first word that comes to mind is Wow, and not in a good way. Lily Henshaw is the main character in this book and she endures way too much for any sane person to handle. Hence her unraveling into a complete and full mental breakdown for the remainder of the book. This book does get scary in a couple of spots so be prepared to take a break and do something that makes you happy if you need to before pressing on.
