The old proverb, "The Health of the people is the wealth of a nation," captures the essential link between a nation's well-being and its economic success. A healthy population is a productive population, driving innovation and contributing to a strong economy.

I am not a fan of COVID-19 but I love medical thrillers. So I am thinking twice about this book. I am intrigued by Irv, though. So I kay give the book a chance.

This sounds like an interesting novel. The plot around murders, sets it for a suspense-filled murder mystery. But now let's see how it all connects with covid.

A dramatic scene at the operating table at Prosperity Hospital unfolds. A heart surgery leads to a blood bath of spatter all over the operation room. An operation headed by a great exceptional Doctor called Dr Sanders is also overseeing this catastrophe. They immediately assume that this patient has had a reaction to the anesthetic given.

Unfortunately for the scene and all the efforts taken to assist the patient from dying, Thomas Baker died on the operating table. Dr Sanders and his country music in the background of it all did not do no justice as the entire staff that was part of the operation was traumatised. This did not normally happen at Prosperity Hospital as this was a hospital that took patient matters very seriously. It did not help knowing that Thomas Baker was a big shot lawyer. A VIP at worst.

Jason Stroud a young interim CEO who has been asked to replace the former one. As Jason runs around puzzles about the occurrences of the hospital that he is apparently now heading, he tasks himself with the project of finding out what exactly happened in the operating room that day. He asks Irv , a passionate, excellent and investigative friend of his with skills like no other for assistance. And as Irv is well known for his perfectionism, he doesn't disappoint.

What I love the most about crime and fiction or mysteries is the lack of cliches and predictability of the entire scenario. Twists and surprises await you throughout the context. The arrangement of the book is exceptional as well as the introduction to every character. There is less dialogue and that allows the author to narrate the whole book and thats boring. That also does not allow the characters to come alive as well. A 3 out of4 from me on this great read.

A very detailed novel that entwines the horror of the Covid 19 pandemic and several mysterious deaths. The reviewer did an excellent job hilighting the main character and his tenacious detective skills as he digs through the clues to solve the case. An excellent medical drama! I highly recommend this!
