This book is so intriguing. A story with crime and suspense while talking about the childhood memories and their present lives. Nice review.

Thank you for the review, I enjoyed reading it. This book sounds very interesting, minus all of the profanity. I enjoy reading mysteries and suspense stories. Even though the book has a lot of profanity, I am very interested in reading it, and will be adding it to my shelf.

It sounds like a book to keep you wrapped in a blankie all day. The friendship between Wayne and Phil is something that I'd call my every day life. But after a while, you see that you can't help loving that annoying, miscreant of a friend:)
As for the profanities, I've seen worse. And I'm okay with the moderate ones.

Recently read this book and I really loved it. I remember I read it for a whole day without even getting the urge to set it down.

Your first line is a great way to start your review! Raymond Carver wrote a short story called "Lemonade" in which lemonade is the "if only I" thing. The rest of your review was also really good!

Barry Litherland's Waves Break is a suspenseful mystery that follows Wayne and Phil, who witness the death of their childhood friend Stevie. As they grow older, they reconnect with Tina, face threats, and explore themes of friendship, betrayal, murder, violence, suspicion, and loyalty.
