Funhouse by Stephen King

Post by CMcGee »

I found this book to be a refreshing change from the usual writing of Stephen King and found it to be more along the lines of a Dean Koontz book. The plot was more direct and was a bit more humorous in its style and presentation. It is a quick afternoon read and though it has its more serious moments is definitely lighthearted. It contained a bit of the supernatural, but was based more along the lines of a true murder mystery and the pitfalls of youth and the choices that need to be made about the paths our lives take. Of the Stephen King books that I have read, this one is definitely on my recommend list.

I agree! I am a huge Stephen King fan and this hit the nail on the head for me. It was something fresh and new from him, in my humble opinion. I love that it came out so close to Dr. Sleep. It was a double dose of what I love about his writing.
All I need is a new book and a place to read it...
