For a person who is interested but never watched any medical dramas, I am intrigued. I see myself as nosey, but in a good way. Meaning, that when I hear about something interesting that I am not aware of, I like to research and read about the topic. And with your review, I am now wanting to read this to find out more about the situation. Thank you for a very detailed and enjoyable, without giving away the story, review.

I love medical dramas only when they are fiction, even if I know that is also someone's reality somewhere. Addressing the failing medical system through a fictitious book like "Death Panels" by Greg Vigdor is an excellent choice.

'Official Review: Death Panels: One More American Health Policy Detective Story' by Greg Vigdor is a keen analysis of the crime fiction. This is a medical drama that explores the inconsistencies of the American Healthcare System. It demonstrates the author's knowledge gained from years of working in hospital administration. The story follows Nancy Jones, who is suffering from Long COVID and is being kept in a facility for the terminally ill. Readers will like the honesty of Irv's character as he struggles with his moral decisions. It was great to learn that the profits from this book go to a not-for-profit health foundation!

In "Death Panels" by Greg Vigdor, a medical drama that explores some moral and ethical issues of the American healthcare system, Nancy's story catalyses personal reflection. It prompts readers to ponder their own lives. The sample and your engaging review have left me wanting to read this book.

Your review really helped me understand the unique approach this book takes. I’m especially intrigued by how Death Panels blends fictional storytelling with real-world healthcare policy insights. The moral struggles of Irv and the switch in focus from Nancy sound like narrative tools that add emotional weight and urgency to the story. I also respect that the book supports a nonprofit cause—makes reading it feel even more impactful. Thanks for pointing out the thought-provoking question about who deserves life-saving care. Definitely adding this to my list!

Greg Vigdor’s Death Panels is a sharp, suspenseful dive into the murky waters of American health care policy, wrapped in the gripping cloak of a political thriller. With a plot that moves as briskly as a Vegas roulette wheel, the novel follows Irv Tinsley and Nancy Jones through a labyrinth of medical intrigue, ethical quandaries, and political manipulation.

I enjoyed your review, especially the thorough summary. Like that you mention the connection of the healthcare system in the book to the current situation in America. Who shall receive healthcare for long term care is very controversial and yet a dilemma we are currently experiencing.

If it wasn't for this review, I would have never thought of reading something like this. I like that the author has experience in hospital administration — the plot is always realistic when an author knows what he is talking about. I wish the book had only one protagonist, but I do like that the stories intertwine. I am also interested in knowing what the Russian mob has to do with the overall plot. Thank you for the review.

A story that blends medical ethics with suspense feels incredibly timely. Nancy’s struggle with Long Covid and Irv’s moral dilemmas seem to shed light on the deeper flaws in the healthcare system. Curious to see how it all unfolds. Congrats on BOTD.

Healthcare is a complex issue, as everyone should have access to quality, affordable, and respectful healthcare. Death Panels seems to touch on such a delicate subject, but from the review, I also get the impression that the author did not have a clear plot when writing the book.

Greg Vigdor's "Death Panels" sounds like a uniquely compelling read, brilliantly using a complex, intertwining crime narrative and an honest detective like Irv Tinsley to tackle the stark inconsistencies of the American health system.

I enjoy medical dramas, so I'm sure I'll also enjoy Death Panels by Greg Vigdor. Nancy's situation doesn't seem to bode well for her, and I wonder what happened to her.

shows the gaps the injustices and how absurd it can all be when you don't put the person at the center, in real life we often stop looking at what really matters patients who don't get the right treatment difficult decisions about who lives and who dies and a system that often seems more focused on money than on people.🍀🐝
