Mabel's husband has left her for a woman who is the same age as their youngest daughter, and Mabel decides to turn her life upside down. She, through a few friends, has gotten into camping. She buys a camper and is set to join them on a road trip. One slight issue, however, is that her camper came along with its own ghost, Irma. Irma had been haunting the camper for years as she must serve her time in purgatory; however, if Irma helps out Mabel, she could be on the fast track to heaven. When Mabel's camping experience is interrupted by a murder, will Irma and Mabel be able to solve the case? Follow the clues and read Wheeler-Dealer by Rita Moreau!

As Mabel travels to new places, her friends share tidbits of the local history. I enjoyed these short exchanges as they gave me new insight into places without slowing down the pace of the story. I enjoy it when authors are able to teach me something new without it feeling like I am back in school. Moreau has this talent. This also helped to better develop the different settings. I especially liked the information about how Savanna is known as the most haunted city in America.

I also enjoyed the relationships between the characters, specifically between Mabel and Irma. Irma has a large personality, matched by her ever-changing wardrobe, and Mabel is not one to hold her tongue. The two play off each other. Irma often guides Mabel on questions to ask, and Mabel uses Irma to see what the other ghosts know. Together, the two make quite the crime-solving duo, and when they join forces with Lili, Mabel's friend, they are a powerful trio.

Overall, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. There were a few minor editing mistakes, but they did not detract from my reading experience, and there was nothing else to dislike about this book. For fans of cozy mysteries, travel, and ghost stories, look no further than Wheeler-Dealer! The dynamic characters are sure to draw you in, and the plot will make you want to put on your detective hat.
