Elixir by Ted Galdi review by Brodie James

Post by Broleej87 »

I was given a free copy of the book Elixir written by Ted Galdi in exchange for an honest review.
Ted is 29 and graduated from Duke University.
This is his first novel and I must say, from the way it is written Ted is a smart man.

Elixir is about a 14 year old boy Sean Malone, who in so many ways is just a normal kid. He likes spicy food, has a messy room and lives with his Aunt Mary.
The only difference is he has an IQ of 250. A lot of people say he's the smartest person on Earth.
When he was 11 he won half a million dollars on Jeopardy. Though Sean, more than anything else in the world just wants to be normal.
So after solving an unsolvable algorithm, he gets a chance at a normal life when the NSA tries to frame him for a crime he didn't commit. He gets put into the FBI's witness protection program, he and his Aunt move to Rome.
Life is normal for once. No one knows who he really is, or how intelligent he is.
Then he finds love with Natasha a beautiful rich girl. Natasha falls ill and its up to Sean's genius to save her life.
Can he do it?

From the way this novel is written you can tell Ted has done his research.
Though not normally the sort of book I would choose to read I am glad i did. I really enjoyed reading it, I couldn't put it down ended up finishing it in under two days.
The love Sean has for Natasha proves love really does conquer all.
I would recommend this book its a massive thrill ride and excellently written. For a debut novel I give it 5 stars.
Great job Ted!

Natasha is Sean's girlfriend. I wouldn't say book is relatable to by life but enjoyed reading it anyway.
