Most people are familiar with Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series, but don't over look this gem. It's comprised of four books, about a young woman with a remarkable ability, but it comes with a price. She experiences both it's blessings and it curses...not every gift is wrapped in pretty paper and tied with a bow. Harper meets many people, and learns a thing or two about relationships; family, friends, romantic, and even acquaintance, each allowing her to see developing and growing (even if that means growing apart sometimes). This tale takes place in the modern world full of mysteries, but secrets are not as dead as they seem...(Possible spoiler alert!!)

I loved this series as well as her Lily Baird series. I wish she had written more of them!
