I didn't find the novel to be on the edge of your seat exciting, but the action was very subtle and enough to keep the reader interested through the whole story. Dan and Sally's lives are turned upside down when Dan helps put London's most powerful gang leader behind bars, Sally finds out she is pregnant and they are tossed into the Witness Protection Scheme. Only with a mole in the scheme, Dan and Sally find themselves on the run when the gang leaders brother, Frank Tong gets the location of the family and sends them on a run for their lives. In this fight for their lives, Dan is forced to become somebody he wouldn't have become otherwise, facing charges for crimes he had no choice but to commit and a community eager for some action, sees him behind bars.
In the end of the novel, when the story really picks up pace, Max's partner also Frank's informant decides he is tired of playing both fields and in a last stand to be his own person, not attached to any person or job, he gives the family one last fighting chance. Max, beginning to think like his partner, makes choices that he would normally never make especially when the lives of Sally and the baby are standing at death's door. In a last chance to save Sally and the baby, Max stands by and watches a murder then becomes a criminal himself when he gives the family a choice in whether they allow the justice system to protect them or go on the run. I really loved that part of the story, the excitement of it all coming to a close.
There wasn't anything that I didn't like about this story. The characters where very well developed, allowing the reader to feel like they knew the characters. The story was very descriptive and made it easy for the reader to picture what was going on. While it wasn't edge of your seat, can't put the book down exciting through most of the story, the ending is great and I was left wanting to know more about Dan, Sally and their baby. What happened to them after they decided to take their lives into their own hands.
I rate Run, Run, Run by Mark Capell a 4 out of 4 stars because I did enjoy this book immensely. I highly recommend this novel to all the Crime-Thriller lovers out there because the plot was well thought out and the characters very well developed. I will definitely be checking out more works by Mark Capell.
