The book sounds interesting and exciting with lots of actions which involve special operatives, United States Coast Guard and Navy personnel, terrorists, martial arts, high-tech sabotage, political blackmail. The commander is portrayed as a highly qualified officer. He has special forces training. How come he couldn't figure out how to use a smartphone? Maybe the author just wanted to use this foible to inject humor into the story! This sounds like a thrilling read. Thanks for your analysis of The Commander. Great writing!

This action-packed novel is about terrorism and how Edwards was chosen to lead the mission to counter it. Although some people were not happy with the choice, the commander did not disappoint. Good review.
