Impressive review! It lets readers know everything they need to know about the book before reading it. I’m intrigued and hope to read it someday. I’m not a huge fan of thrillers but don’t mind picking up one once in a while. :)

The Hotel Detective and His Lover

Humor, thriller, and plot twists all in one is a must for many of us. By reviewing the book I could easily picture it as if it were a movie and at that point I was intrigued.

This book seems to have everything I love in a novel – countless twists, adrenaline, and a surprising ending. I love that the author's background had a major role in the setting of the story. It makes me wonder if this book is a compilation of things Derek has actually experienced. Even though the book is a bit long, I'm sure it'll be a breeze to read. Thanks for the review.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting thriller novel following the chief security officer of a hotel and the French Public Relations Officer as they attempt to solve a hostile takeover and the schemes connected to it. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Thanks Cristina, you've convinced me this is my kind of book. I love all the twists and turns, and the cast of characters sound so varied. I hope the hotel doesn't get taken over, I guess I'll have to finish the book to find out.

Richard Marker is the Chief Security Officer at the Adelphi Hotel. He is in love with Sandrine Parte, but she probably doesn't even know who he is. When a hostile takeover is about to happen, Richard and Sandrine might be the only ones capable of saving the hotel and stopping the takeover.

I'm always down to read a mystery-thriller because I enjoy taking part in collecting all the pieces of the puzzle. I also love the fact that the author includes British dry humor, as it adds an authentic touch to the setting. Congratulations to the author for earning the Book of the Day.
