This is a very emotional book judging from your summary. I can't imagine the protagonist living with such a toxic dad and mentally ill mother. Also, it all seems an amazing book to read. Thanks for the review.

Vander's life sounds like a tough and difficult one. I am not a fan of books with this kind of theme: violence, murder, and things of this sort. So I will pass on this one. Nice review.

Abuse experienced by women, gender bias and racism are some of the major issues that have plagued our existence since time immemorial. Touching on these issues in the book, is a statement that should resonate through the wide audience and create a positive turnaround in our perspective of these issues. A thorough review.

'Official Review: Making Monsters' by A J Parnell & Chuck Duncan well describes the contents of the crime thriller book for readers! The readers come to learn about the story of a young boy with a supernatural gift in detail through the review! The way in which the reviewer explores the issues, the book raises is appealing to me! Also, the way in which the reviewer relates the book to larger issues is appreciable for readers! I like the advice offered for potential readers in the review!

Although I don't think today's BOTD is for me, I downloaded a copy anyway because your review convinced me to give it try. Those who enjoy thought-provoking reads that touch on various social issues and dark truths will want to check this one out. Thank you for the thorough review and keep up the great work! :-)

This is a book seems great to read. How will this boy cope with his special abilities while undergoing abuse from his parents. I'll love to find out more. Thanks for the review.

So many lessons of life in such a little book! I'm glad I was able to download a copy of the book. The mind-arresting details of the review (domestic violence, injustice, racism, and other forms of brutality...) must be fully accessed and read. It would be a titillating read!

The themes in this book are tough and thought provoking. These would raise a lot of questions but I'd love to read it. Thanks for your review.

This book reminds me of the quote “Everyone has a light of goodness in them, only sometimes it can only be seen when they are dead.” As for the question of why women stay, I can safely say it is for numerous reasons. Children get taken from women when they seek safety at shelters, they get isolated from friends and family, and being cut off from having access to money. This is a dark book about life's realities. Great review!

A disturbing psychological thriller. I'm intrigued by the way the authors addressed such a wide range of social problems that are still commonplace. Another striking point is that the center of the story is a child who also has to deal with supernatural abilities. It seems like the perfect story for fans of mystery, intrigue, and suspense.

I like the review because it's very honest on what to expect from the book, it's very informative so people that don't like such genres would not be caught off guard. I'm into such genres though so I believe I'd enjoy the book.

I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to be with Vander Masozi as he struggles in coming to terms with his scary supernatural gift that gives him access to a terrifying world and to find out how he will use them for his family.

I like that there are supernatural elements to this intriguing storyline. The social issues and violence that are included probably also will make it very descriptive. Congratulations on book of the day!

I sometimes like a little darkness in the books I read. I shudder to imagine being a nine-year-old having to not only deal with supernatural gifts I don't yet understand, even while I am forced to provide for my family to avoid abuse. Vander has it rough, and I'm interested to see if his dream of getting out of that life reaches fruition. This one is going on my TBR shelf. Thanks for the thorough review!

I like the way the authors give us, piece by piece, stories of characters as they slowly introduce them. Through this process,we as readers can take part in the journey, trying to piece the stories together and find the connection between these characters. Of course,we will find this very exciting. The book makes for a fascinating read, and we as readers may not be able to put it down till the very end..nice review.
