This is, without a doubt, the strangest dystopia I have ever encountered; weird in a good way. The conflict between the male and female sex is a theme that always works, and this story is made with a touch of exaggeration of that theme. I think it is a creative and exciting plot; I hope to read it.

Gender inequality is debate not done argued on and it seems the people are not satisfied with the outcome. The author did well with the recommendation on readers interest in gender inequality and l am sure all will enjoy the novel.

Not a huge fan of dystopian novels but this one already projects how current issues might develop in a few decades time. I am willing to get a sneak peek into the future. Sign me up!

When I observe men harassing women or anyone else for simply being who they are, I strive to stand up. By the same token, it is equally incorrect to conclude that all men are terrible based on the behavior of a small number of them. I anticipate enjoying this one. I appreciate the review.

A unique concept book. The title itself plays the role, "The Prison of Power". It is all about the power which divides the human species. As the writer says, the prison of power, once you are in, the taste of it sticks with you. It's an intriguing way to mirror society. I like the method of it. Congratulations on BOTD. The review is insightful.

“The Prison of Power” by G. Michael Smith is a fictional thriller set in the future about women coming to power after ruthless attacks and the massacre of 2034. Women now dominate the world and men are now seen as lewd and nefarious and they have been stripped of all power. Some powerful women want the male species to be wiped out. While most men have accepted their fate, there are fringe groups operating in secret and gaining support with a plan to attack the powerful women leaders. What will happen in the future? Will men regain power? Will there be a sexual revolution? One needs to read the book to learn the answers. I hope the Equal Rights Amendment will finally be approved. Very good review.

I'm on the fence about this book. It sounds like there could be a lot of 'man-bashing' in it, and I'm also afraid that at 700 pages, it's going to be hard to finish. Thanks for the heads-up, I may give this one a miss.

This review has really piqued my interest in this novel. I'm not one for dystopias, but this one sounds very intriguing. Women rule the world...and it's a male author. Your review has opened the door, now I just need to walk through it. You did an excellent job summarizing and informing the readers about how this story plays out!

The underlying message of this book is that of gender equality, and while this is an excellent message, it’s definitely giving men’s rights activist vibes by presenting a future where women are in charge as an out of control hellscape where desperate groups of men take desperate and disgusting measures. I’m not sure that’s a positive view of either sex, to be honest, but interesting to think about. The writing has strong imagery and as a dystopian story, it’s certainly a promising read.

In this fictitious tale, the portrayal of a women-dominated society and the struggle of males to regain power seem fabulous.

This book delves into a lot of the issues and harms of misogynistic customs. It is pretty brutally violent, which readers that enjoy that level of killing will enjoy. Congratulations on book of the day!
