I'm a sucker for a good historical book, and the writing of the main character seems like something I could get behind. I wouldn't mind reading. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

The plot is interesting so I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find out how Peter Gray faced the dangerous challenge presented by insurgent guerrillas called the Tupamáros Territory Movement. It seemed to be a suspenseful book and this is right up my alley.

I'm not a big fan of historical fiction, but I think the book sounds promising. Peter seems like a likeable character; his care and protection of his family is most admirable. Thanks for your delightful review.

Great book. The style puts you right there experiencing everything alongside the characters. The psychopathic tendencies of Miguel really do shoe through.

This novel has an interesting storyline. Elaine Broun's realistic narration of the events surrounding Peter Gray's family and carrier, as well as his engagements with the Tupamáros is worth praising. I recommend it.

Your review was professionally written and informative. Thank you. Historical mystery novels are high on my list of favorites. Vulnerable families being targeted by terrorists gives me feelings I don't want to have. So, I won't be finishing this book.

I like this book a whole lot. I started reading it and could not put it down. I like Peter's character as he is willing to protect his family at all costs. Miguel the antagonist is shrewd, callous and crafty. He is indeed to be feared. It is good read for those who enjoy crime and thriller novels. Thanks for your review.

The author captured that tension for me in the opening scene of the book. Thank you for your descriptive analysis, and congrats on BOTD.

I like it when the book is as realistic and as believable as you make it sound. Add a few great themes and you have the perfect book. My only issue is that with the pacing as you describe it, this book might be too long for me to enjoy. Otherwise, thanks for the great review.
