Sheriff Hardin Steel, aka "Stainless," faces unpredictable challenges near the Mexico-Texas border. In pursuit of a major drug lord with his buddy Wes, the plot is full of twists, keeping readers guessing. Despite a slow start, the novel's intricate schemes and unpredictable ending earn it 4 out of 4 stars. Thank you for a great review.

South of Good by Randall Reneau is an exciting crime thriller novel. Hardin Steel, Sheriff of Cameron County, finds himself in a dangerous situation when his best friend is nearly shot down, his girlfriend Rory is kidnapped by a Russian mercenary, and someone wants him dead. Sounds like a captivating novel, and I've added it to my 'To read' list. Congratulations on the BOTD!

Thank you for your great review. I'm glad that by the end you enjoyed the book. I did enjoy the author's style of writing and though this isn't my favorite genre, I did find it interesting. I'm glad it was edited so well. I have decided to add it to my list of books to read. The sheriff sounds like an interesting character.

I liked the idea of a Sheriff chasing a drug dealer with many twists and turns. It is exciting when the tension builds up and the readers start guessing the end. Also, reading a story in the first and third person makes it interesting. Thanks for the review. Congrats on the BOTD!

“South of Good” by Randall Reneau is a crime novel. Reneau has written a very intriguing story with twists and turns that will leave readers baffled as to what is going to happen and wonder if Hardin Steel, a.k.a. Stainless, will live to see another day. Stainless is the sheriff of Cameron County located near the Mexico-Texas border. His buddy Wes is in a tough situation and now Stainless and Wes are pursuing a major drug lord. The two of them come up with several schemes to root out the drug lord and readers will wonder what is going to happen next and the ending is unpredictable. The author has a great way of telling a story and he made me feel like I was there in Texas alongside Stainless, Wes and Buck. I enjoyed the sample and the official review.
