Oil drilling is an interesting backdrop against which to set a murder mystery. I also like that the lead in terms of oil drilling is female in a very male-dominated world.

I thoroughly enjoyed "Derrick of Death" by Malvina Lerma. This murder mystery kept me guessing until the very end, with some well-placed red herrings that had me hooked. What impressed me most was how the author seamlessly integrated technical details about drilling without making it overwhelming. Charlie, the strong female lead, and George's characters were both engaging and relatable. The book was professionally edite. I would rate it 5 out of 5 stars. It's a perfect read for those who love murder mysteries and appreciate a glimpse into the world of drilling, and it's just the right length to keep you engrossed for an afternoon or two.

Review is an excellent of a book with a mystery and new female protagonist. I'm looking forward to a delightful mystery with clues but no giveaways. Seems like a breakthrough like Rosie the Riveter in real life!

I personally enjoy fiction novels with a strong female lead, and this book in particular does an amazing job. It is a mystery novel that surrounds an oil rig setting and multiple murders. Congrats on the BOTD!

I enjoy well executed suspenseful stories. I'm also a fan of mystery solving idea. Seems like the author did a good job with the red herrings. I'm intrigued to find out if the deaths are connected.think I'd rather skip the technical details of drilling. The review provides a fascinating summary of the book to rise the readers' piquency. Well done.

This is an unexplored trope already. I love how the author has not revealed the killer till the end. It makes it worth the wait by the fact the reader cannot guess anything unless they are keen on the tiny clues.

This book sounds right up my alley and I'm glad the review is positive. I love strong female characters and mysteries where you don't know who's guilty until the main characters do. I can't wait to get this one and find out all the secrets!

I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find out Charlie, together with George will solve the mystery behind the death of Karen and another person and if these are connected somehow to the company’s activities and dealings. I love reading mystery and suspense novels and this one is right up my alley.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting crime mystery story following Charlie, a female oil rig manager, who discovers the body of Karen, wife of one of the senior members of Triple Play. She must work together with a landman to discover who murdered Karen. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Excellent review! It summarizes the characters, plot, and content without giving away any spoilers. It gives enough information to interest readers without being to lengthy. The idea of a strong female lead that knows about the oil industry is very interesting! I'm intrigued by the complexity of this well written murder mystery! I can't wait to see if I can figure out who the murder is!
