This book is both fiction and reality. It’s based on all the scandals surrounding the pharmaceutical industry regarding the opioid crisis and it deals with a lawyer trying to tackle this huge problem. Sounds riveting!! I love that you also learn new things about actual lawyering, thanks for sharing that in your review!

This story deals with issues of drug addiction resulting from prescribed medication following an injury. The main characters are wholesome and it's no wonder they want to legally pursue the drug companies. I'm interested to know how it turns out.

Drugs and overdose are bad and dangerous. This thriller speaks about the impact of addictive pain relief meds on patients. The story throws some light on the pharmaceutical industry's role in fueling addiction which is not only illegal but morally inept.

The Prescription" is a book by K. C. Gilbert about painkiller addiction. These drugs are supposedly created to help soothe pain but the adverse effect is an addiction. Is the producing company to be blamed for the addiction of the users that abuse the drug?

'Official Review: The Prescription' by K.C. Gilbert sketches out the contents of the action thriller story for readers. We learn about the vital issues the book raises. The point that this is a story about legal matters and the pharmaceutical industry is worth mentioning in the review. Readers would gain a better understanding of how and why attorneys serve subpoenas and conduct depositions. Also, as mentioned in the review, the book hints at real-life experiences. Learning that reading the book is like watching a movie playing in our minds and piecing together the images was great!

Thank you for an excellent review, I’m really looking forward to reading this book.
I love it when authors expose the truth behind fiction.
I have a little knowledge on how the pharmaceutical industry makes its money through addiction and promoting drugs that require more drugs to balance the side-effects and things like that, I would love to Read about this in a Fiction story so I think I will enjoy this book.
I have it in my Kindle diary now thanks to book of the day, I’m ready to read. Thanks again for the review.

I’m looking forward to digging this over to find out how Chris helped Shannon over her addiction to painkillers. I love reading about the medical field and courtroom drama and I think this is right up my alley.

You wrote a nice review. I have trouble with topics like this as I have Fibromyalgia, migraines, herniated disks in my back and arthritis. I have chronic pain. Some days are worse than others. People, like me, need the opioids just to feel a little relief, but others have ruined it for us. Doctors don't want to prescribe them anymore, and the insurance companies don't want to pay for them. It is a constant battle. I am not addicted to them, as if I do have a good day, I don't take the pain meds. The people who are addicted, like in the book, and go onto harder drugs, like Heroin, are a real problem to everyone.

Exploring many legal themes, the reader will have to keep up, but they will definitely enjoy the journey through this piece. I'm impatiently waiting to see if the rest of what Gilbert has written is of the same standard. This book hit me hard, and I crave more of it.

Opioid addiction is a legitimate issue right now, and this book is a timely reminder. A class-action suit against a pharmaceutical company would be a big deal. I hope Casey is successful. I look forward to finding out.

According to the reviewer, the book is about two painkiler drugs called Opioid and Zilontin cause addtiction and how their manufacturers, despite being aware of their addictivenes. The author uses real life examples such as the girl who had a knee injury and became an addict of hard substances such as heroin as a result of using the two pain kilers.

I thought the author did a great job of portraying the negative repercussions of painkiller addiction; this is one of those novels that is easy for everyone to read and comprehend.
