I haven't read the first book so I don't know really know what happens but I do like the fact that there is a summary of the previous book within this one. It's a nice little detail that is highly appreciated. I'm very excited to read what happens in this action packed novel so I might just pick up the first one before this.

Nice review. This seems like an interesting read. I'll check it out. I really want to know how Frankie finds the 'treasure' and evades death.

I'm glad that I read this review, now that I know that this can be read without reading the first book. I don't usually go for thus genre of books but as you said thus may be a good introduction for me to this genre. Hopefully I like it.

Someone can engage in crime and other societal menace but at the same time gain the love of people. Frankie reveals our innate desire to be a better version of ourselves but often lose control of our lives. Nice review.

I am not really into reading mafia crime stories but by reading the sample book of By Hook or By Crook by Al Marsiglia and your review, I would really like to read this book. As this is the second book in the series, the author did a good job by including the backstory from the first novel and I highly appreciate it. While reading the sample book I really admired the bond shared by Bliff Rollo and Frankie Fiore. Looking forward to read this book.

Although this seems like an interesting book, books about the mafia are not what I normally gravitate towards. Therefore, I think I'm going to pass. Thanks for your wonderful review!

The book sounds thrilling. I can't wait to read about Frankie's experiences in his quest to fulfill Rollo's wishes. I also can't wait to feel part of that Italian mafia family. It's definitely a must-read for me. Thanks for the nice review.

Sarah, you did a great job with this review. I'm a big fan of crime thrillers and this particular book is not exempted. Although I haven't read the book, but the review was quite alluring. I'm convinced I'll love it. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for the detailed review! I am not much a fan of mafia flicks or books, however, it sounds like those who are will like this book.

Frankie sounds like a guy with a heap of baggage on his shoulders but trying to turn over a new leaf. I would read this book just to know more of his character. :lol2:

Not my type of reading but your review and score definitely sound like a worthy try. I have to be in the mood for a fast-paced novel. I prefer those to be my steamy romances.

I can understand a face-paced novel bugging you, especially if you feel like you can't catch your breath from the big last event. As I do not enjoy mafia thrillers, I will not be reading this novel. Thanks for the review!

Sounds like an action-packed book. I don't enjoy the use of foul language, so I'll have to pass.
