Past lives, insanity, psychological analysis, psychedelic treatment--how could this thriller/mystery not be good? I'm sorry to hear from the reviewer that the mystery wraps up prematurely about halfway through the book, and the author then subjects the reader to a lot of scientific jargon on psychedelics. There was a lot of medical jargon in the sample I read, but still it was gripping, and made me want to keep on reading. :techie-studyinggray: It was particularly puzzling how Jennifer Hart could remember a song she heard in the 1920s when she's still a young woman when the story begins in March of 2022.

I love medical thrillers and I am interested in readings about psychology, self discovery and trauma management. From this review, the BOTD seems to have all the above with an additional new subject on psychedelics ,I am a little concerned about the strong language and sexual undertones in the book but grateful for the review because we can all make an informed choice to pick up this book as our next reading.

Since I read only a sample of the book, I can agree with the review in its last part but I liked the opening of the book. I also loved the detailed descriptions of emotions, body language, and even the medical information at the hospital between the doctors. The righting style is intense and this enriches the narration. I believe it is a good thriller and suspenseful story to read.

By exploring Jennifer Hart’s mental breakdown and her treatment under Dr. Albert Young’s controversial psychedelics program, the book raises awareness about mental health issues and the lengths to which patients and doctors might go for treatment. It prompts readers to reflect on how society handles mental health, particularly the stigma surrounding unconventional treatments like psychedelics, which are increasingly being researched for therapeutic purposes.

This gripping thriller combines intense violence with mind-bending suspense. The psychological twists keep you on edge until the shocking finale. A masterful blend of brutality and brain-teasing intrigue, this story will keep you guessing - and gasping - until the very end. Congrats on BOTD!

I'd like to know the cause of Jennifer's nightmares and why Dr. Young is determined to treat her with psychoactive drugs.

Jenifer Hart was having a serious mental illness and she later went to Broward hospital for further treatment, Doctor Young who was her doctor treating her currently was so desperate when he saw he saw her. Is like doctor Young made everything in his power to cure Jenifer but instead of been better she became worse so this has created a lot of questions without replies in doctor Young mind and this is reason why he became so desperate when he saw her.

Hi @Huini Hellen, I just read your comments on the official review of "House of Giral" and I was confused by your first sentence. Why are you apologizing for the story? I found the story to be very interesting and I want to learn what happens to Jo while participating in Dr. Young's psychedelic program. What is causing her to dream about a previous life? @Mrlefty0706
