I haven't read the first in the series, so I think will pass on this one, especially since there are scenes of sexual encounters and abuse. I do like that the tale was immediately engrossing and that you were kept up many nights to read this one. Glad that you enjoyed the read! Thank you for the lovely review!

Sounds like a good book. I think I'll have to put both books on my to-read shelf, though.

Being involved in a chain of murders by a psychopath sounds creepy. I wouldn't even like to watch a movie or read a book about it. But I appreciate your good review!

This certainly sounds like a great read with not your average plot line. Thanks for the note about reading the first book before this one as I was ready to jump straight in. Great review.

I'm glad you mentioned this is a sequel and doesn't read well as a stand alone novel. Thanks for the review.

I wrote an official review for this too, but I'm afraid for me the book was a little messy and too explicit. Nevertheless, I'm sure many people would enjoy it; congrats to the author on BOTD.

Your review is inviting. I read the first book, Behind the Doors. I waited for this because I wanted to know the development of Simone's profession. I want to know how Lara's Journal affects the reality of Simone is an interesting question to solve through this book.

The serial killer aspect of the story is intriguing, but not so sure about the sexual deviation. I am also not so fond of a story that bounces around, going from one person's viewpoint to another's. Your review is very helpful. Nice work.

This book looks familiar. Maybe I read a review of Behind the door first......probably best to read the first book before reading the second. I'm not a fan of sex scenes just for the sake of it on books so this one is probably not for me.

I think reading "behind the doors" gave you a good understanding of this novel. I should find and read the sequel first. Great review.

Re: Official Review: Lara's Journal by A. Gavazzoni
Thanks for making it free to read...
I understand it has an older series.
Lara's secrets and betrayals were all exposed in the journal. The trilling and much elaborated Erotica got my attention and i am cool with it. Simone's murder Cases over and over. Fine review.. Yes a 4/4
