Thanks for the honest review. As long as the editorial errors aren't glaring I'm sure that I can look past them and focus on the storyline. This sounds like a really interesting and engaging novel. I look forward to reading!

It is important for books to feature strong female leads and show how people can overcome tragedy. I look forward to reading this, I'm glad that the characters are realistic, the sea jargon doesn't overwhelm or distract from the story and the tragedy and abuse is not told with too much detail.

Sounds like an interesting read with well filled out characters. I’m glad Danielle isn’t a damsel in distress. The nautical references would be an opportunity to learn new stuff.

Thank you for your review. Having read the sample I was intrigued by the captain with his passionate moral stance, and also by the development of this strong female character. I look forward to exploring further

This seems like a solid book with a great narrative plot and writing style. I'm a little hesitant due to the mentions of sexual abuse, though I can see that it may not be too explicit.

This book sounds quite interesting and I like the seaside setting. As a dancer myself, I’m a fan of the characters having a dance company.

well, from your review I think it is well plotted and the actions are what make me attracted to the book. I think I'm going to read it till the end.
But poor Danielle, I think she's going to save her dear ones in the end.

I reviewed this book as well (check it out, if you care to.) I longed for more character development, but the suspense created an engaging story. Great review! Thanks.

I enjoy reading books that have a strong female character, but not so strong that it is unrealistic. From your review, it seems as though I would enjoy this book due to that and because I also enjoy fiction books related to the sea. Thanks for the review!

I’d be interested to know, when does this novel take place? There seems to be a juxtaposition of the old and the new — pirates and cruise ships. The location itself is surprising to me as I usually think of desert when I think of Texas! Your review has definitely piqued my interest. I am curious to see how the author managed to put all the disparate parts together!

Seems like a great book. I love fast paced action, so I will try to ignore the errors and give it a shot.
