A crime thriller that involves the mafia told from someone other than the mafia boss sounds like a must read! Looking forward to delving in to something a little different!

Interesting. I don't think I've ever read a book with blackmail in it. Nice to know that the book is appealing and engaging. Great review.

Sounds like a great book. I would have ti read the other one as well. It sounds as though there are a lot of different characters and personalities that take this book to ththe next level. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for the review. The background of Al and Jake looks interesting, as well as the whole extortion attempt by a corrupt lawyer to pull down Al's career. I do not usually read novels purely about crimes, and while I do not think this will be the exception, it seems to have all the elements to satisfy those who enjoyed the first installment.

So perhaps there is an anti-hero in the book? I love books with twists and turns and I also have a soft spot for crime novels. Glad this will keep me guessing as I read. Thanks for the helpful review!

Thanks for this detailed review. Even though I like too much to watch the movies of such fiction novels but I liked your paragraphs. I would like to have a time to read it. I was interesting in your rate that you gave to it! Very interesting:D

This seems like a complex tale with characters that are interesting. I like that the reviewer says there aren’t any real good guys in the tale. Flawed characters make for more engaging reads.

I’m already about 25 pages into the book because of this review. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a good crime thriller, especially about a judge! It seems already that Al and Jake have a very intrigueing friendship and I actually can’t wait to read more about their “activities “. It’s funny how I’m reading both the first book and this one at the same time. Talk about back and forth!

Thank you for your review. It sounds like an interesting story, and yet with the jumping back and forth and the violence, I think I will pass this time.

This story may be a case of a good man having his rotten past catch up with him. Somebody smelled the miasma of something buried, and got down to the bottom of it, to use as leverage against someone who has earnestly grown some angel's wings during a period of benign existence. Al, the good guy here, is held under duress by a past deed of indiscretion during his teens. The Mafia lawyer thought he has Al in his grips because of this. Al is forced to gamble, and he upped the ante by staking everything, and the whole blow-by-blow account is this novel. Needless to say that this will be exciting reading because that will be for the reader to decide. Thanks for this review.

Thanks for the good review! It looks like Abate The Nuisance is an appealing crime fiction. The story includes many past events, such as the characters' childhood stories. The book seems edited properly. I guess this novel could be an interesting read for the fans of action novels.

I don't think I would mind the back stories, especially since this is the second book. However, the violence and lack of a good guy to cheer for could be disappointing. Thanks for the review and to the author for the book.
