I think that this book is one that I could get into. I love a good mystery/thriller. On my TBR stack. Thank you for the review.

Everything except the length of this book sounds perfect to me. It's too short for my liking. But I wouldn't miss it for anything in the world. Thanks for the lovely review.

This seems like a great action book, written so that you identify with the main character, George. It certainly makes you appreciate some of the things you might take for granted, like flying in a regular passenger plane and staying in an ordinary hotel, for example. I think people who enjoy action books would like this book.

Featured Official Review: The Mask of Perpetuity by Martin Jones.

I was hilariously captivated by the dry sense of humor, suspense and tension, in the sample of the the novel and would like to read it. It is the type of book that I would not want to put down until I read it, in its entirety. The review is very good. Thank you.

Seems like an interesting fast-paced mystery novel. It'll be fun to join the main character on his investigation of who stole the mask. Hopefully, I can interpret the clues given in the book and not get blindsided. Congrats on BOTD.

Not really my type of book, because there seems to be too much action and I usually prefer concentrate on intrigue unfolding and how are developing interpersonal dynamics. But in whole story does sounds interesting, just not for me.

I was surprised to find out that the book is only 86 pages long. It sounds to be a pretty interesting book with lots of adventures of George Melville, an ordinary detective who was involved in treasure hunt and espionage to protect Britain. It will be interesting to read this book. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Thanks for the review and I'm glad that you enjoyed it. At 86 pages, this feels more like a short story or novella, which I enjoy reading from time to time. Maybe I'll check it out? :)

A colourful review of a brilliant book. The reviewer obviously enjoyed the book as this comes through in the writing of the review. I enjoy mysteries and detective stories and I also enjoy the time period in which this set. It appears that there are some lively characters as well. I like the descriptions of the secret agent and also of the old Chinese gentleman. Some of the antics described sound truly exciting and I look forward to reading this book. I really enjoyed the spirited commentary of the review.

Thanks for the review! This sounds vaguely reminiscent of an Indiana Jones type of story, and will find popularity amongst many readers. I like that it is quite short. It allows a quick reading in one or two sittings, and the story will not lose pace either. Thank you for your comments.

Sounds like loads of fun! I can imagine Mad Dog displaying his "skills" when the enemy least expects! Will certainly be diving head-first into this read, thanks for sharing.

Simply from this review alone, I am intrigued! I believe jumping in and being taken away to another time period on a dangerous adventure with a main character who is unsure of himself on this new assignment will be a thrilling way to end my day. I cannot wait to find out more about this mysterious Chinese artifact and read how the main character develops.
