I have mixed feelings about this novel. The plot seems intriguing, but the couple's characterization makes them annoying. Thank you for your informative review!

Although the novel's plot seems interesting, the unnecessary details put me off somehow. I would have liked it better had it been precise.

What a professional and clarifying review. I'll be passing on this one because of the introductory/"cop-out" "note, before we begin", but I liked how you emphasised that the tension was well-established throughout the book, so I might be back for this book another day :)

I'm not sure if I'll be picking this book up since you said it's more of a "will they get away with it" and I tend to lean more towards whodunnits, but I'm intrigued by your testament that the tension is upheld throughout the book! Maybe another day. Thanks for the clarifying and honest review!

I really enjoy mystery and crime novels; this one doesn't start out to be very interesting. I do get the feeling that the momentum is building from reading the sample. The story of Arnie's life with an abusive father hint at some anger he might be suppressing. Tammy's reluctance to tell Arnie about meeting her daughter adds some mystery to the story. I could picture the typical English village where they live. The disquiet of their marriage prevails throughout the story, I would like to find out happens next. Thanks for the review.

The BOTD is a mysterious story of a missing wife. While the story has potential, excessive wordiness causes me to pause in reading the story. Great review.

A very detailed review. I like cosy mysteries a lot. But I am not sure if I would want to read this one because it is not that well edited and drags.

I love crime/thriller/mystery books and a plot like this is exactly my cup of tea. However, the pacing and mundane details may be an issue. Nonetheless, congrats on the BOTD!

Women!!! Considering how well respected and happy together the couples are one would think they shouldn't hide anything from each other. Quite a storyline. Congratulations on the BOTD

Not so sure if this is for me. I like the hardcore crime/mystery thrillers that really get brain working on 'whodunnit'. Also your character building takes time, andit seems like it's not the case in this novel. Thanks for a great review.
