The book sounds like a worthwhile read, but it's not my cup of tea. Novels that are heavy on military or military-related topics rarely interest.

The story takes place two years after the 9/11 attack. Another terrorist attack is threatening the American oil industry. We follow Commander Edwards as he laids out plans to counter the terrorist threat.

The lead character is commander Dan E. Hendrickson, who is tasked with averting a terrorist attack. This action-packed book narrates various aspects of the commander's life.

This looks like an exciting, action-packed book to read. I will be adding it to my reading list. I enjoy military-related novels and this one appears to be right up my alley in the type of books I enjoy most. Thank you for the great review!

Commander Edwards reminds me of James Bond for some reason; his quirkiness and quick thinking align with this Navy SEAL well. Military books are not my thing, but I appreciate the author's attention to detail. Congrats to him on BOTD! :)

Plot sounds something closely to other book of mine. The difference is that this instead as an older men and the author centers Edwards with almost the same background.

Although I don’t often read this genre or style of book, I can see how this novel will appeal to fans of action. It’s great that it was well-detailed. Thanks for this great review!

The Commander seems to hold thrilling elements in its plot, and the aspect of sensing the threat of terrorists from the Gulf of Mexico and preparing to counter them before they reach the soil sound quite engaging.

Thanks for the great review. From reading the sample of this book, it does sound exciting, but not necessarily my favorite genre. You made it sound like a huge amount of action though from the locations, military, and terrorism.

Honestly, the cover of the book didn't catch my attention that I just scrolled up upon seeing this new released book but upon reading this review, I realized I judged too quickly and I judged wrong.
