I would never symphatize with the police—that part made my skin crawl—but I appreciate that the author showed the more important side, the side of the people that had to deal with the police and prison. The reviewer was right to point out that the book gives pointers regarding the BLM.

This is indeed a very controversial crime thriller, especially with what has happened in the past year regarding police brutality and equal rights movements. I don't think that I would enjoy this book that much, but thanks to the author for the free copy and on BOTD!

The good cop bad cop area is something that is interesting; one bad apple can ruin a bunch. I have run into several on both sides and unless you judge people individually, then it is easy to lump them all in one category. I also know that many criminals are just people that made a mistake in a choice that snowballs into a much larger problem. Great insightful review!

I can appreciate the timeliness of this story. In reading the sample pages, I had a bit of trouble with the timelines switching so abruptly, and I think that may be distracting for me throughout the book, so I think I’ll pass on this one. Thank you for your informative review.
