According to the review, this novel is sad. I liked the sample but I am not in the mood for sad stories about sick women...

The theme of medical and supernatural combined in a historical-fiction book sounds interesting. Try to find out how to cure the illness of your loved one is a sad and remarkable story. I think every character is chased by time. The main character had to find a way to save his wife. The wife had limited time left because of her disease. The family wants to meet and support the wife in her critical time. It seems intriguing, and I want to know more about Janus key. Thank you for a nice review.

This is a fascinating book about an eight grade boy named Lucius Antonius, his abilities and a Janus key he believed would solve all of his problems. I researched the definition of a Janus Key and found it is a specialized Void key that grants powerful Orokin technology/powers, such as immortality, teleporting and the Orokin shield. The book starts in 1965 while Anthony Lucas is attending St. Bridget's School. A time capsule is found that has been buried since 1905 and Tony witnessed the uncovering and the marvelous predictions contained. The book accelerates forward to 2018, Anthony is a retired history professor and his wife Ann is diagnosed with a crippling illness that is slowly sucking the life out of her. Anthony recalls the Janus key from his teenage years and he hopes it can help find a solution to his wife's disease. Will it work? One needs to read the book to find out what happens. Very good review and I plan to add it to my to-read list.

This book seems to have a bit of everything, from adventures and history, to fantasy, supernatural, medicine, family, and some discoveries too. Tony seems to be a dedicated husband and father who would do anything for Ann. Congrats on BOTD to the author! Thanks for the review!

I love the storyline, and it seems like something I'd like to read. There's seems to be a lot hope on the proficiency of the key, and I hope it doesn't fail Antony. Thanks for your honest review.

An intriguing story featuring Tony, a man determined to do literally anything to save his wife from an incurable disease. This plot is as mysterious as it is interesting. I'm curious to know what disease Ann is suffering from and why Tony has so much faith in this Janus key. This is a book I want to read. Thanks for this detailed review.
