After reading the OBC official review of Dead Reckoning, I can see myself delving deep into this story. The review has left me with so many questions that I cannot wait to find out the answer to them. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD.

What a fascinating thriller 👏👏Your opening sentence was quite scary. No doubt this will make a great book. Congrats on making it to the book of the day.

I'm a little bit confused. Is this book based on a true story? It sounds pretty horrific. I love a good crime thriller but I might give this one a pass.

The use of an old diary sounds like a great way to tell this crime story!

I love to read novels with thrilling aspects in their plots, and Dead Reckoning by Lea O' Harra seems to have those intriguing elements that allow me to guess about the acts of criminals.

How does keeping a dead baby lead to the other crimes, and why was there a dead baby in the first place?
These are the questions looming in my mind upon reading this review. Congrats on BOTD!!

I can't wait to read the book, what a twisted story.
Must find out what later happened to Gilly.
Good review!

A book with secrets is always a good idea, even more if those secrets can ruin the protagonist's life. Gilly returns to her hometown after her mother's death and is reunited with all the reasons she left in the first place, we are introduced to her husband (who is annoying btw), Sally who is the girl she shares this secret with and Harry, his brother. It has a very good start, and the way in which it is narrated in Gilly's personal diary and tells the story of the corpse they found at the age of 12 is a very good bet.

Thank you for the great review. I'm glad you liked the book. I am wondering how finding the dead baby caused two other deaths. Though horror isn't a genre I care for, the suspense in this book from the sample seemed very interesting. After reading your review, I have decided to take a chance and add it to my list of books to read.

Though the review speaks highly of this novel for its unusual plot and well- drawn characters, I could only sample the book, not being a fan of crime stories especially when involving kids.

This sounds like a very intriguing story and definitely something that I would read. I like the fact that it covers the past and the present events to give the reader a clear picture of what happened and the consequences that followed. Thanks for a good review.

This book seems to me like a crime one filled with action and suspense. Gilly and her friend were mischievous being childish carrying out the act, whose repercussions followed after a long time. Nice review.
