As I read your review, the story reminded me of the tv series, Quincy M. E. You intrigued me to read this book as well!

The passage discusses a novel about Dr. Nolan, a physician with a history of uncovering high-profile crimes. His latest discovery is the death of his former patient, Betty Sanderson, who had a visitor before her death but was reported to have died in her sleep.

Crime and Mystery are my favorite as it keeps you glued to the book. I wonder how Dr. Nolan didn't listen to Sherriff Dent because his his investing this death did put his life in danger. This is a must read. Congratulations!

Expended seems like a truly enjoyable mystery between your review and the sample I read. I enjoyed the part of your review that highlighted Dr. Nolan. This book draws on reality, and all too often if something doesn't go right or people are warned to stop stirring trouble, the pursuer stops their course. But Dr. Nolan keeps right on going :) Great review!

The premise that some companies are willing to do anything, even immoral actions, for profit sounds truly realistic in this murder mystery. I plan to read it. Great review!

Your review of this book is so articulated and comprehensible. Dr. Nolan can be described as empathic and I wonder if he found anything about the death. I will love to read and know what and how he found. Nice review. Congratulations on winning BOTD.

This book is part of a series, as you hinted at, but you didn't mention if it could be read as a stand-alone novel. I have the first 2 on my bookshelf to read and will get to this one in turn. I do agree that the author has a wonderful way of fleshing out his characters and the dialogue does sparkle.
