Jeannie's new life may not last for long as she starts getting into dangerous work. I am going to read this book because I would like to know if Jeannie's past is truly behind her or is lurking in the distance. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD.

At first, the way you described Jeannie faking her death and all to run away from her husband, I was intrigued but then you mentioned the dialogue in the book coming off as fake sometimes which really deterred my interest in the book. Thank you for a honest review.

"See Me" is a fast-paced medical thriller. Jeannie takes an opportunity to escape from her husband to gain freedom. When Jeannie investigates how patients were harmed while in the hospital, she is threatened. Will she complete her investigation or be killed before she can get to the truth?

Such intriguing thriller especially the part about fresh start in Canada. However, this book may triggers some people who experienced abusive partner before and this book only for mature readers. I'm gladly adding this to my tbr list.

Never marry at all, Dorian. Men marry because they are tired, women, because they are curious: both are disappointed.

Certainly an interesting storyline with relatable characters. The first chapter grips the reader in an unending suspense. I would definitely like to read this book. Congratulations on the BOTD!

“See Me: A Jeannie Johal Thriller” by Susann Camus is a story about Jeannie Johal, a hospital surgeon, that faked her death after the hospital was blown up, and moved from Mumbai to Canada to escape from her abusive husband. She had a new identity created and her new job gave her the opportunity to investigate harmed patients in hospitals. What seemed like a great fresh start turned out to be murder investigations, dealing with racist colleagues and learning that someone was out to get her. The book is a thriller with unpredictable storylines. The story telling was exciting, especially when Jeannie uncovered secrets that should have stayed hidden. Jeannie obviously performed well in her new job. The book could have used another round of professional editing, thus the 3 stars out of 4 rating. I have added the book to my to-read shelf.

Definitely not my cup of tea, because I was never able to read stories related to domestic violence and any type of abusing relationships. I hate to see how such treatment influences people and what it does to victims and especially children. Sorry, I prefer to avoid the subject altogether, but congrats with BOTD anyway!

From the story in this book, I can see the height people can go to move away from toxic relationships. Johal went to the extent of faking her own death just to move away from an abusive husband. "See Me: A Jeannie Johal Thriller" by Susann Camus looks interesting.

Amazing review. Escaping from her abusive husband to landing herself in murder investigation in Canada, Jeannie Johal's story looks thrilling. Will Jeannie be able to start her fresh life, is what makes book worth reading? Susan Camus writing is impeccable throughout the book.
