X-men / mutant theme with a whodunnit thrown in? Count me in. The review itself is an enjoyable read. I will read this book, for sure.

Body companions? A mix of X-Men and Avengers like characters? Action-packed? Well, sign me up already.
Being a huge fan of everything supernatural, it'll be a great read, I'm sure.
The summary sounds entirely intriguing and "the man" seems to be a character mysterious enough to read about. The twists, if are actually like what the reviewer says, then I want to have this book in my hands as early as possible.
Apart from all things good, however, the cover could have been a little more eye-catching.
Can't wait to read it though.
Also, congratulations on the BOTD.

From the introductory part, I must say it really captured my attention and it'll surely do so to everyone that comes across the title.

It really depicts the true story of what we are facing in the real world where private organisations are growing at the detriment of government owned outfit.

Thanks for this!

The supernatural abilities reminded me of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. The two alters never work together though. It sounds like an interesting plot, but I am not a fan of the genre.

While most of them need a mentor (like James Hyde) to put them through on how to harness their ability for good use on the good side, some (like Samuel Barkley) are pushed to the other side of the options, but much worse can still be averted with some trials from their older kind. People like James Hyde need to do this to save them from "The Man" who is ready to exploit them.

I really want to read "Altered Reality" by Joel Knox before it becomes a movie :techie-studyingbrown: now that I just read your review because I always want to see where it ends. This is why I still watch Avengers.
I love your careful analysis and I do hope you read the book!

I love stories of people with abilities, though the gory details might be a turnoff for me. Thanks for the interesting and detailed review.

You summarise this book beautifully, and the characters and plot sound fascinating. Unfortunately when I read the free sample I didn’t think the writing was all that great, and I often find violence boring. However, your review has convinced me to try reading the entire book. Thumbs up.

There are so many characters in the book, the story is quite interesting except for the horrid scenes, I don't think this is my book. Even so, You have given a great review.

I'm wary of this book. On the one hand, the subject matter sounds fascinating, but on the other hand, I recently saw Hellboy, so I'm not too sure if I can handle the gore or not right now. Still, I might give it a try based on this review, keeping in mind your warnings.

I have always wondered what a book would be like to read with superheroes as the characters. When I read the sample I found out, and this review gave me an even better idea. From the manner in which the review describes the book, the author seems to write in a manner which evokes images that one would see in a graphic novel. The scenes of violence don't bother me although it was interesting to read how the character interacted with his alter-ego and tried to stop him from killing too often. I wonder where this being comes from and how he fuses together with the human character. The review was well written and gave a good picture of the overall atmosphere of the novel.

I like series books that can stand alone— it gives me options 😉 However, I’m not a big superhero genre reader. This one sounds interesting though! Congrats on BOTD!

Although this book sounds very exciting I am sure it is not one I could immerse myself in! I have never cared for the X-Files or the Avengers. I do like action books but not graphically violent ones. Based on your excellent review it sounds like a very interesting and exciting read for those who lean toward the fast-paced and unusual story! I am sure it will entice many readers who will thoroughly enjoy the ride!

This sounds like a book I would really like. I read a lot of sci-fi and urban fantasy. I like the idea of different characters having different super powers. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.
