I just read the Amazon sample and the official review and I am excited to read this book. It is right in one of my favorite genres and I am looking forward to it. I love that it has characters that aren't cookie cutter and of course, a pig. Kudos to the author.

Thanks for your great review! This is one I probably would have skipped but your review makes it sound interesting and fun. I enjoy small Southern town novels and throw in a mystery and whiskey and it it sounds like it'll be a good read!

I understand your point about potential readers missing the book due to its title. I am glad that you liked the book overall though. Congrats to the author on the 4/4 review.

This seems a good mixture of mystery and humor! I wonder what mystery Harley uncovers.

The small town characters, Aunt Wilma, and the humorous happenings sound like it all adds up to a good mystery. Harley's character is believable and interesting. I wonder what she will find out about herself and about the murder.

From a sampling, this was an interesting and well developed and crafted mystery novel. It is definitely worth a second look. Well done.

This sounds like a great read. The only fault with the book is the underwhelming title. A murder mystery with a strong heroine and a well-developed plot is definitely something I would enjoy. Thanks for the review!

Harley seems to have her work cut out for her! A famous rock star moves in to Notchey Creek, then a murder occurs? Wonder what's the dark secret that she unravels. It's good to know that Harley is smart, compassionate, and hard-working - it seems like she is a likable character. It's good to know that you enjoyed the rest of the eccentric characters! Glad you enjoyed the unexpected humor within this book, but that the humor didn't detract from the suspense. Too bad that you feel the title may cause the book to be overlooked. Even though there seems to be a lot of good points here (including that the book was well-edited), I'm afraid cozy mysteries aren't to my liking. Thank you for sharing your detailed review, though!

A mystery in a small town. Never imagined it was because of the tittle. Sounds entertaining. Congratulations on BOTD.
